Life has its ups and downs and so do staircases. If you’re looking for a philosophical musing that’s deeper, you’d better consult Bertrand Russell. But in the absence of such intellectual ambition, we present yet another episode of that most challenging of regularly scheduled couch potato mental appetizers, the Classic Film Images Photo Quiz brought
to you by the makers of SKITTLES, America’s most beloved breakfast candy. In this edition we celebrate that most useful of architectural features used in going from one floor to another (absent an elevator or escalator and not nearly as much fun as a firehouse pole, but I digress), the humble staircase, and its appearances in the motion picture (but without compensation in the form of the same SAG benefits as other inert constructions, such as the cast of “Twilight”). The following twenty images each feature a movie scene in which a stairs are prominently featured, and your task is to identify all twenty films. Sounds easy, but so does cold fusion. The first to identify all twenty correctly will eventually receive the fashionable and lactose tolerant CSR Culture Shock Award. Good luck.

Bit late to this, so scrolled past the answers from the others. A couple of the images are just too dark for my cataract-obscured eyes, but a few are familiar enough. Here goes, from 1 down.

15) Vertigo. I actually suffer from Vertigo, which is a medical condition, and a not a fear of heights. So Hitchcock got this wrong, and it should have been called ‘Acrophobia’. If he was still alive, I would write and tell him. 🙂

Can’t place 7, 10, 16, or 20. What a fun post. Stairs! I love them. I’m surprised you didn’t include Scarlett and Rhett in Gone with the Wind.
Rhett storming up the stairs with that vixen Scarlett in arms was a serious contender for the header image. Or Richard Widmark demonstrating a provocative prototype for the Stairlift system in “Kiss of Death”.
